"Hoa Tu Bi, the flower of compassion. This blooming lotus represents the opening of the heart and the unfolding of love, as well as the ability to remain pure while rising above the "mud" of worldly suffering, obstacles, and imperfections. "
Our Story
At the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern action sits Hoa Tu Bi, the charitable heart of the Paramita Buddhist Monastery. Founded by Zen Master Thuc Lam, our organization is more than a non-profit; it is a living practice of the "Flower of Compassion."
Master Lam established this 501(c)(3) with a mission that is as profound as it is simple: To do and to give. We believe that compassion is not a passive emotion, but a restless energy that moves us to act. Whether we are providing relief to those in crisis or offering a hand to the forgotten, our goal remains the same: to do good for all sentient beings and to give without reservation. At Hoa Tu Bi, we don't just speak of peace—we build it, one act of giving at a time.
